SUMMER BASEBALL
ACADEMY ages 10+
FOUNDATIONAL BASEBALL ACADEMY
TRAINING AGES 10 - 13
FOUNDATIONAL ACADEMY TRAINING is specifically designed for baseball athletes, aged 10 – 13 years.
This summer program is an intensive, week-by-week format where players come in 3x per week, on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for 2 hours each day.
Each session lasts approximately 2 hours and consists of an hour focused on sports performance training and an hour focused on position-specific skills and drills. In each of their 2-hour sessions, players will work in very small groups of no more than 4-6 players on their functional area.
Pitching will occur first and then participants will progress onto sports performance training; all others (batting, fielding, and catching) will engage in sports performance first and then progress onto their specific functional training sessions.
This program is an ideal introduction to more advanced workouts and positional training for athletes that are higher-level 10u – 12u players and who are engaged at the upper limits of recreational ball or those who have already progressed to a travel ball program.
This program is held in a small-group setting that allows for low trainer to student ratios; this approach encourages trainer-trainee interactions while also providing a general athletic foundation of strength, power, and coordination with detailed instruction on common strength movements as athletes progress from week to week.
Group work will be determined based upon where each player is in reference to seasonal play. This program will teach and reinforce proper throwing mechanics while simultaneously helping in-season players maintain arm and shoulder health. The focus shifts for out-of-season players so that they can begin building foundational strength, explosiveness, and coordination in preparation for their upcoming tryouts and winter seasons.
The academy program is an ideal way to keep your player’s skills sharpened and ready for travel ball tryouts; it is also an excellent introduction to the workouts required of players as they advance through middle and high school ball.
Special pricing is available for players of Atlanta Fuego teams and a sibling discount applies.
